Image of Bishop Rawstorne at Chorley Council Climate Debate

Earlier today, the Mayor of Chorley offered the Council Chamber to Chorley High School pupils to give them a platform to air their views on climate change.

Representatives from all six high schools in the Borough took part in what was a fascinating and enthusiastic debate, chaired by Rt. Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, Speaker of the House of Commons.

This has been an outstanding opportunity for the pupils who attended, to not only to voice their opinions, but to see where local decision making takes place and meet politicians. We’ll be sharing the pupil’s views with you in the coming days.

A big thank you to Lindsay Hoyle MP for chairing the debate, Inspire Youth Zone and to all the schools who took part.
