Bishop Rawstorne has formed good working relationships with many companies and organisations, whether it be through sponsorship of our various team sports strips, or close partnerships helping us stay ahead of the curve with our IT Infrastructure, or delivering Initial Teacher Training. We're proud to list these companies here, with a brief note about our partnerships with them.

Virtue Technologies

Virtue Technologies has been a strategic partner of Bishop Rawstorne for over 6 years. 7 years ago our ICT software and equipment was not fit for purpose. We had major gaps in our infrastructure and our ICT provision was woefully inadequate. Virtue Technologies led us through what was needed step by step but at the same time understood the restrictions we had in terms of financing and timing. They gave us options and the choices, whilst at the same time guided us in the order of our plans. Four years later our systems, software, Internet provision and infrastructure are first class. Our staff has the confidence to know our ICT works 100% efficiently 100% of the time.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication and professionalism of Virtue Technologies. As a National Teaching School, a National Support School and a major employer of School Direct it is imperative that our ICT is fit for purpose, that is why we work with Virtue Technologies.

I would recommend them unreservedly to any school / academy or educational establishment who requires an efficient, cost effective, well-run company to deliver their ICT needs.

University of Cumbria

The University of Cumbria have a longstanding history for delivering teacher training, having started teaching PGCE students as far back as 1966. They soon became the largest provider of initial teacher training in England and have enjoyed an excellent reputation in the education sector for some time now.

For many years, Bishop Rawstorne has worked closely with the university in delivering teacher training in a majority of subjects. Naturally, the school values the strong relationship that unites both institutions and enjoys the shared vision that ensures we continue to  provide ideal opportunities to train and develop first class teachers.
